- A DIS receives a lot of information from a partner around shifts that will happen next year due to shifts in state or district DEI/equity work. This happens in the middle of a renewal conversation or EOY walkthrough
- Great! I love this language shift because I think we’re all the same and shouldn't be highlighting differences that aren’t necessary like race
- Wait, this is confusing, I was just applying for an open role and I saw that the advancing antiracism core value was still on the application, so I’m confused, are you for DEI and or not?
- We are so upset about all that nonsense and don’t plan on changing a thing.
- A CL and DIS are hesitant to call out equity challenges because they do not have the anti-racism core value to elevate during a progress monitoring meeting or EOY walkthrough deck
- A team has launched the work with a brand new partner in the past month, and now has to name for them the changes to the IPG and our core values, after investing the partner in them and the partner was very excited about them
- A CL comes to you and says the DIS is still using the core values slides in all decks and they are afraid of what this means and what they should do as they prep for an upcoming onsite
- A SCL has told a CL they will come and travel anywhere they feel unsafe, resulting in more people being onsite than needed; the DIS raises this concern in a check-in because they addressed it directly with the SCL while onsite and now the CL has reported feeling even more unsafe and not having people who they feel safe with available for travel.
I am feeling confused about the changes of the language in the IPG–can you tell me more about why instruction partners thought the language needed to be changed, even though they are still supporting anti-racism support? Oh, so y’all sold out too and aren’t going to talk about DEI either What other changes should I expect from you all as I think about renewing for next year? A DIS has a concern about a CL who is hesitant to push conversations of instructional equity given “saying the wrong thing” 6ºB
